AN UPDATE / Abodo Matakana Showcase

Please Note: the showroom is now closed, however the exterior Abodo cladding can still be viewed from the road.

Located on the approach to the holiday hot spot of Matakana village, a short drive north of Auckland, the showcase celebrates the capabilities and range of Abodo Vulcan products, as well as exemplifying the effects of our finish options. With a total of approximately 3500kg of carbon stored in Abodo’s timbers throughout the showhome, this choice makes a highly significant impact on the environmental footprint of the build.

The exterior is wrapped in Vulcan Cladding and batten screening, with a brushed finish coated in Protector - Ebony. The vertical battens laid over the external walls give the facade depth, while the brushed finish provides dynamic visual texture. The Vulcan-clad garage door adds a finishing touch of refinement and consistency to the external aesthetic.

A key internal space - which is Abodo’s base within the showhome - is fully lined in Vulcan Panelling, with a carefully crafted curved wall at one end created through masterful use of vertically laid panelling. Overhead, the ceiling panelling extends out to the soffits and draws the eye to the landscaped garden beyond.

The resulting luxurious home proves that such a high level of finish and quality does not need to come at an environmental cost.
