The Block contestants raised the bar this season by cladding each of the five houses in a mixed palette of natural wood and brick.
High quality natural wood cladding creates a premium appearance to
the exterior of a home, and by combining lower cost brick the
contestants have added a level of sophistication, while keeping costs at
a minimum.
Further depth is added by using two colours of Resene Woodsman, factory applied to Vulcan Cladding by Abodo prior to delivery to site. Factory application ensures consistency of coating and better long term performance (meaning less home painting and maintenance, less often).
The contrast between the Resene Natural and Resene Tiri colours adds another design dimension to the homes.
Vulcan Cladding is not only a great design choice, it’s an Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified, NZ-sourced timber cladding – an appealing feature for prospective home owners with an eco focus.
Even better, Vulcan is thermally modified which improves the timber’s thermal properties, adding to the energy efficiency properties of the home.
The Block contestants’ cladding choices have added value to their houses in a number of ways, a combination which is sure to bring results on auction day.
Abodo are pleased to announce the appointment of Stevens & Co as an architectural cladding distribution partner in Belgium.
Many wish to reduce their environmental impact when building, and Abodo’s newest addition to the Vulcan Cladding range helps achieve this.
