INTRODUCING / Vulcan Cladding - Standard Series
Many wish to reduce their environmental impact when building, and Abodo’s newest addition to the Vulcan Cladding range helps achieve this. Request a free sample.
The Vulcan Cladding range now includes two options; the original Architectural Series (now in its tenth year) and the new ‘Standard Series’.
Both the Architectural and Standard series are made from the same New Zealand grown, rapidly renewable Radiata. Both are thermally modified and engineered with Abodo’s patented vertical grain for enhanced performance.
What’s different is the grade of timber used for each product, and this means the new Standard Series is available at a more accessible price, and with a light natural character to its appearance. This light natural character includes some knots, resin pockets and other natural features present along with some clear lengths.
At a glance, here’s what you need to know about ‘Standard Series’:
- Available in Abodo’s nine Protector coating colours
- Only available in Bandsawn Finish and one secret fix profile – WB18 135x18mm – which can be installed vertically and horizontally
- Thermally modified using heat and steam, with no harmful chemicals – for enhanced durability and stability
- Created with Abodo’s patented vertical grain technology for additional stability and improved weathering
- New Zealand grown and manufactured, from rapidly renewable Radiata Pine forests
- Verified carbon storing credentials – each square metre of 18mm thick Vulcan Cladding (Standard Series) stores 7.56kg of carbon

What’s the difference between the two options?
- Along with the lower price and its light character aesthetic, Standard Series is available in one profile and select colours, ideal for a mid-range builds.
- Available in a wider number of colours and profiles, the Architectural Series remains the best choice for design flexibility, where a largely clear aesthetic is required.
